Relevant

I really like my church, here. As with all things human, it has its flaws, but one of its major strengths, ok two, is its authenticity and its willingness to discuss relevant topics. Really, they are quite edgy - and I very much appreciate that.

This past Sunday they played the following clip as part of the message on whether we’re living our lives as True Christians or as Practical Atheists. I got alot out of it, as I had to listen to it twice since I was acting as the fill in Arts Director that day, but I found it to be really…justifying. I’m not a fanatical Christian…I’m not. In fact the fanatics tend to rub me the wrong way. And I find that because of my line of work…I’m often in a situation that most Christians would be quite uncomfortable in. Anyway, that’s for another time.

In the mean time watch this video. It’s really worth it. You may recognize the guy. He’s a famous Magician/entertainer who is a self proclaimed Atheist. I’d like to think he and I would be friends.
